Error "Not an NT system"

Answer:

I get an error message that my system is either not an NT system or that it does not have iis installed. It is NT and does have iis4 installed. The only difference I can see is that my winnt\system32 directory is on the E:\ drive not c:\ drive.

PROBLEM...

That's the problem. In order for LogFileManager to work it must have access to the metabase. It does this by using ADSI (Active Directory Services Interface). LogFileManager searches for a dll called activeds.dll If it does not find it in the c:\winnt\system32 directory it will let you know. It assumes you either don't have ADSI installed or you are running the program on Win95/98.

SOLUTION...

If you do move your winnt\system32 directory you can just create another one in the c: drive and place the activeds.dll file in there. Then it will work.
