"No domainRoot Defined" what's going on?

Answer:

The cause could be one of three reasons that we know of:

Generally it means that the program (DomainReportit PRO) cannot access your metabase.

There are a few reasons for this:

1. You are not running the DRP program on the same server as the IIS WEB SERVER. The program will not be able to access the metabase if it is running on the same server as IIS.

2. The program is not running under an administrator account. If it is running as a task make sure the process is running under an admin account.

3. If you previously upgraded to Windows Server 2003 there is a bug in one of the updates. It has to do with the ADSI component. The fix is to ensure that you have installed ALL the updates for 2003. I am not certain as to what fix "fixes" this bug so just be certain that you have ALL the latest fixes, updates, security fixes etcetera installed. I am certain that there is a bug in 2003 ADSI component that will cause this condition and error in our program.
